For the past five months I have been working out 4-5 times a week, without fail. This week my rigorous training schedule ended abruptly as Bob left town, Brielle and I came down with head colds, Parent Teacher Conference 1/2 days began, and Co-Op was suspended.
With the change up in routine, we have been HOME an unusual amount of time...One surprise discovery is just how much of the day I have been devoting to the gym.
Kira bought a Strawberry Shortcake Cookbook from her first school Book-fare and we actually baked and decorated Cupcake Cones.

I read the girls books outside the normal bedtime hours and though I boycott Barbie when possible, I even let them pick the Titles.

I held Brielle long enough for her to finish an entire bottle, played games, sang songs, and let her wear her favorite hairstyle, "free and wild".
I fail to recollect the last time I enjoyed so many evenings free of:

Now the question I must struggle with is the same as many of you.
What am I willing to give up for the Alaska Club?

That Strawberry Shortcake cookbook looks like something to add to my stepdaughter's Christmas list! Too cute!
I think I might add that cookbook to my Christmas list.
p.s. I think you seem to have a very good balance between all your various activities. And plus, your girls need a healthy mom =) (and you have the most adorable girls)
one more thing... how did the cupcake cones turn out? They look yummy!
Kids grow up too fast. The AK club and many others will be there when the kids are gone. I'm glad you had this special time with the girls. I always like "chilling out" and staying home. This world has us going so fast in so many directions. I hope you get more weeks like this. Love ya.
