Things I'm grateful for continued....

It's too bad that many fond saying and symbols have been labeled "politically incorrect" by overly sensitive, attention seeking individuals.

Notice the Button to the right of this post...this image is a Redman...the official mascot of Cedar High School, my Alma Mata.

Combined with the lyrics of our school song there's a killing in the old town tonight. The depiction of a violent Native American may be considered "racist" by many critics, an accusation that I offer evidence to refute.

There is a small native village located near the softball fields smack dab in the middle of town. Some of the Indian boys were our best friends.
They participated in all our school activities, especially football, a sport our town revolved around. Our mascot encouraged Native Pride.

As I'm not running for office anytime soon, I'm just going to post him right here and declare with pride, I'm a CHS Redman. I am grateful for my roots and the many Cedar City friends and family that have helped me along the way.

Whew, it struck me as a U of U Ute at first, I was worried I would have to stare at it everytime I came to your blog! =)

I'm so glad you loved it, I felt the exact same way, and I am usually hyper-critical as well. Why couldn't it have been LONGER? I did NOT get my fill of the Cullens!

How is it that you always word things so perfectly?? I too, am very proud to be a Redmen and what it meant to us "Cedar folks." It truly was an honor to go to school as a CHS Redmen!!!
