Remember November? The month I went all crazy trying to save 1,000.00 in 30 days by making my kids eat food storage cereal for dinner and turning the thermostat down to refrigeration level.
Well.......
I did it.....& had exciting plans
When......
A violent wind storm came blustering through and took down two of our biggest trees. The tallest of the two came crashing down and knocked a hole right through our neighbors roof
And........
We just paid the deductible on their homeowners insurance,
And yes, It was $1,000.00.

Having saved a hundred thousand pennies and then having to spend them on something un-fun why, why, that is just tragic! My that's a lot of food storage cereal...

Well... at least you had the $1000 to spend- however, I feel your pain. I was just starting to feel ahead of the game myself and had my car window busted, purse stolen, and then a few days later, was sideswiped on the freeway in a hit and run. Here's hoping 2009 only gets better for both of us! Hugs :)
